IDPE 2024 Annual Conference
The IDPE 2024 Annual Conference will celebrate our uniquely collaborative and ambitious sector, with a programme that combines opportunities to meet with and learn from colleagues from schools across the UK, as well as distinguished guest speakers. Join us on Monday 13 and Tuesday 14 May 2024 for two full days of interactive and inspiring sessions at the East Midlands Conference Centre, Nottingham, to take a step back, meet new people and collect ideas and insights to take back to your school.

What's new for 2024?
Networking remains a central focus of the conference this year, with opportunities to meet colleagues across the sector during a welcome reception on Sunday night, lunchtime networking with development professionals with experiences relevant to you, as well as a very special drinks reception, sit-down three-course dinner and entertainment on Monday night to celebrate IDPE's 25th Anniversary.
Along with sharing experiences with colleagues, the annual conference provides an important opportunity for delegates to prioritise their own continuing professional development. This year's programme incorporates more personal effectiveness sessions, to support delegates to develop their individual skills and abilities to support their success and wellbeing. There will also be a new dedicated reflection hub in the conference centre, providing a quiet space for solo/small group work.
Also new for this year, at the end of each conference day we will be inviting all delegates to come together for plenary ask the expert panel sessions, and engage in a shared discussion on sector-wide ambitions.

Networking for those new to conference Sponsored by 
We know that coming to a conference on your own and not knowing anyone, can be a daunting experience. To support you in building your own networks and to make the most of your conference experience, you'll be invited to attend our networking sessions for those new to conference (or with less development experience), where you will be able to meet experienced conference delegates who will be a friendly face to help set you on your own networking path.
All delegates will also have access to the conference app, where you can message other delegates to start discussions or arrange meet ups, and scan QR codes to share contact details, helping you to make new connections and continue those conversations after the conference.
The IDPE 2024 Annual Conference has been developed by members for members and would not be possible without the hard work and incredible commitment of the conference co-chairs and committee.
IDPE and AMCIS conferences
We were delighted that moving our annual conference forward to May last year enabled more delegates to attend. However, during this month there are limited scheduling options owing to the bank holidays and half term break. As such, unfortunately the annual conferences for AMCIS and IDPE will once again be held on the same dates in 2024. We recognise that for a small group of our joint members, this will mean that they will have to choose between conferences and we apologise for any inconvenience this causes.
